Leonard William Jasek, 62, of Blessing, passed away on September 25, 2018.

Leonard "Scooter" Jasek was born in Bay City, Texas to Leonard and Helen Jasek on October 10, 1955. He graduated from Tidehaven High School and went on to Texas A & M University where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Agricultural Education. He worked as a teacher and coach for 15 years then changed careers to work as a rancher. He was a member of St. Robert's Catholic Church in Markham and the Blessing Knights of Columbus. He was a Fourth Degree Knight for Assembly 1131 of El Campo.

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Helen Jasek and brother, John T. Jasek. He is survived by one brother, Andrew Jasek, and six sisters, Debbie Jasek, Nancy Fitzsimon (Steve), Jennifer Jasek, Mary Jasek, Barbara Corporon (Victor) and Lisa Batchelder (Brent), numerous nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 5 to 7 pm on Sunday, September 30 followed by the Rosary at 7 pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing, TX. Funeral services are 10 am Monday, October 1, 2018 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Mensah, officiating.   Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brent Batchelder, Brian Batchelder, John Palomares, Victor Corporon, Travis Corporon and Stephen Grigar. Honorary pallbearers are his fellow Knights.

Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Catholic Church or the charity of donor's choice.
