Obituary
Leona Simnacher, 53, of Bay City passed away Dec. 16, 2009. She was born February 21, 1956 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Leonard and Helen Hall Akers. She has been a resident of Bay City since 1983.
Her brother-in-law Vince Simnacher and nephew Shannon Simnacher both preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Larry Simnacher of Bay City; parents Leonard & Helen Akers of Palacios; daughter Lisa Blythe & husband Justin of Denver, CO; son Daniel Simnacher of Kingwood, TX; sister Velma Staten of Palacios; brother Lewis Akers of Madisonville, TX and grandchildren Tristin and Jordan Blythe. She is also survived by nephews Alton Bostwick & Vinnie Simnacher and nieces Allison Bates, Amanda Baker, Audrey Seaton, Michelle Simnacher, Shirley Simnnacher, Annie Simnacher and Carol Jansen.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm to 7pm Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009 at the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX.
