Leon Normand, 66, of Van Vleck passed away Monday February 18, 2008 at his home. He was born May 25, 1941 in Marksville, Louisiana to the late Mary Gannon Normand & L.B. Normand. Mr. Norman was a resident of Van Vleck for 25 years, and a member of Golden Ave. Baptist Church. He loved fishing, and working with his hands.

He is survived by his wife: Judy Littleton Normand of Van Vleck; 3 sons: Billy Normand of Van Vleck, Donald Normand of El Campo, and Kennie Normand & wife Kellie of Palacios; sister: Jo Lynne Mitchell of Marksville, Louisiana; 2 grandchildren: Cody Normand and Kolton Normand. Leon was preceded in death by his parents; grandson: Justin Normand; sister: Margaret Lachney; and 2 brothers: Donald and Kent Norman.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday February 21, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing.
