Leocadia "Caya" Pena, 77, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 in Bay City,. She was born to the late Placido and Higinia Alvarado Chavez in New Gulf, Tx. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Rangel, Sylvia Gonzalez, Diane Muniz, Mary Rosas, Judy Herrera, Scottie Muniz, Brenda Pena; sons, Fred Pena lll, David Pena, Rudy Pena, Steven Pena; 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren , 4 sisters and 3 brothers; Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Pena, Jr. her granddaughter, Patricia Cuellar. Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City with Fr. Gerry Cernoch celebrant . Rite of committal to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Visitation from noon to 9:00P.M. Monday and 8A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30P.M. at the funeral home.
