Laura Lou Curtis, 81, of Bay City was born July 21, 1932 in Cisco, TX to the late Keith Morris and Mattie Grace Deitiker Morris. The Lord called her home peacefully December 1, 2013.

She taught elementary school in Van Vleck for many years retiring in 1995 and worked along with her husband for Curtis Photography. She was a member of the Bay City Pilot Club and Delta Kappa Gamma. Laura was an active member of Nichols Street Church of Christ where she taught Bible Class to many children whom she adored.

Survivors include her husband Robert P. Curtis of Bay City; daughter DeeAnne Myers & husband Charlie of Alvin; grandson Samuel Blackard of Alvin; sisters-in-law Dr. Joyce Curtis of Abliene and Pat Deitiker of Cisco; cousins Betty Davis, Judy Herron and Sheila Carroll and a number of nieces and nephews. Her step-brothers Gary and Kenneth Deitiker preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Nichols Street Church of Christ with Bro. Larry Macomber and Bro. Don Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ross Elkins, Willie Rollins, Dusty Deitiker, Glenn Lee Deitiker, David McLeod and John Westbrook. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat McLeod, Glenn Organ, Damon Rutherford and David Carroll.
