Larry Wayne Kacer, 69, of Westlake, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. He was born on November 30, 1956, to the late Frank Jacob Kacer and Rosie Anna Sobotik Kacer.
Larry grew up in Blessing and was raised on a farm, where he spent much of his time working in the fields chopping and picking cotton. He graduated from Tidehaven High School in 1977. Larry will be remembered for his deep dedication to faith, family, and community, and for the steady, dependable presence he held in the lives of those who knew him. He brought great joy to everyone around him.
Larry was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and St. John Bosco Church, where his faith and service played an important role in his life. Through these organizations, he formed lasting friendships and generously gave of his time. He enjoyed playing dominoes, playing tennis, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Ames, and his brothers Bernard, Edwin, Frankie, A.J., and Joe Kacer.
He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Hoffmaster, and her husband, Stephen; his grandchildren, Cassidy and Logan; his sisters, Georgie Meyer and husband J.D., Rosie Wendel and husband Herbert, and Annie Mae Bundick and husband Richard; his brothers, Edmund Kacer and Milton Ray Kacer and wife Sybil; his sisters-in-law, Beatrice Kacer and Regina Kacer; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2026 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Blessing. Pallbearers will be Shawn Kacer, Eric Kacer, Tony Kacer, Steven Carlsen, Gary Kacer and Edward Gurecky.
