Lacreeda Arnette Smith, 71, of Lake Jackson passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Sugar Land. She was born February 15, 1941 in Eagle Lake, TX to the late William Etheridge Brown & Leona Margueritte Alexander Brown. Arnette worked at the Lake Jackson Wal-Mart for many years and enjoyed arts & crafts. She was a great artist, and loved to spoil her grandchildren.

Arnette is survived by her 2 daughters: Darla Kimberly Smith White & husband Mark and Dana Renee Smith Sims & husband Lonnie; 3 grandchildren: David White, Jada Bozeman, and Jasmine Bozeman; step grandchildren: Andrew White, Nathan Sims, Abigail Sims, 2 more step grandchildren; and 2 dogs: Gizmo and Chyna. She was preceded in death by her father: William Etheridge Brown, mother: Leona Margueritte Alexander Roecker, and stepfather: Morris Willie Roecker, Sr.

The family will receive visitors from 12 Noon till 2:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2012 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be: B. T. Wallace, Scott Valenta, Sean Middleton, Linn Middleton, Andrew White, and Ronnie Klehm. Honorary pallbearers will be: David Smith and Mike Orren.
