Kenneth Allen Kauffman died peacefully on July 30, 2026 at the age of 72, after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family as he left his Earthly home and entered into the gates of Heaven.

Ken was born on November 18, 1953 to Linford and Frances Day Kauffman in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania and was raised in Galveston, Texas. He later attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where he met his wife, Sarah. After graduation, they married and began their life together in Bay City, Texas.

Ken was passionate about his family – the ultimate encourager, helper, and number one fan of any sport or hobby his kids or grandkids undertook. He loved big and we will miss everything about him.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Brenda Kauffman. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sarah; his brother, Lin (Susan); his three children, Lindsay (Jesse), Brian, and Scott (Leila); as well as his three grandchildren, who were the light of his life; and his forever friend, Bill Blackshear (Christy).

Visitation with the family will be at the First Baptist Church in Bay City, Texas on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 9-10:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Watson, Blayne Finlay, Jesse Deshotels, Brian Kauffman, Scott Kauffman, and Mark Emery.
