Obituary
Jurldean "Jerry" Poe, of Hot Springs, AR, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009. She was born February 7, 1925 in Little Rock, AR.
After graduating from Mt. St. Mary, she spent most of her adult life in Texas. She was an avid golfer and won many tournaments and state titles in Texas, before retiring to Hot Springs. She continued to play golf at Belvedere Country Club, and served on several committees for ladies golf tournaments that supported local charities. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Jerry was preceded in death by her mother and father, Minnie Porter Poe and Artho Poe, by two brothers, Hurston and O'Brien Poe, and a sister, Oletha Pumphrey. She is survived by a brother, John F. Poe and his wife Karen of Hot Springs, AR, and many nephews and nieces in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Illinois.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 12, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Dr. Joseph Cannon officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
