Jurgen Kurt Lukas, 73, of Blessing, Texas, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025. He was born on July 3, 1952, in Germany, to Alois Lukas and Gerda (Gehrlein) Lukas.

He liked to fish and socialize with friends. He enjoyed cooking and growing herbs to use in his creative dishes. Because of his blindness, listening to YouTube German comedies became his main source of entertainment. Jurgen also loved karaoke.

Jurgen was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheri Lukas; son, Thorsten Lukas; daughter, Sarah Lukas; sisters, Monika Fischer (Karl) and their children-Margit, Martina, and Luis, and Ute Graf and her daughter, Nadine; brother, Rudiger Lukas (Silke) and their daughter, Leonie.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
