June Colleen Wood Allen went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1929 to Ernest Cyrus and Gladys Wood, the third of six children.

Her parents, husband Bob, and brother Byron and sister Pat preceded her in death. She is survived by sisters Harriett and Ruth, and brother Ron, daughters, Terry and Denise, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Besides being a strong, loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother, she had many talents. She loved gardening and creating beauty. She was an amazing seamstress creating works of art with needle and thread. Her bookkeeping skills culminated with the start-up of the credit union for the Celanese plant which she managed for several years. But her best known talent may have been her musical skill. We all know her best for her years in the choir, but she also rang handbells, sang solos, duets, and in various ensembles. She also taught adult Sunday School and worked in the church office for many years. She loved the Lord and impacted many lives in her daily walk. Heaven's choir is even better with June's arrival.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 10:30 AM Friday, October 13, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Bay City with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating.
