Joyce Marie Taylor, 82, a long-time resident of Palacios and Bay City, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2017. She was born on September 14, 1934 in Rockport, Texas. She married Bobby Joe Taylor on January 2, 1952 in Port Lavaca, Texas.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Taylor, parents Gus and Adelaide Chupe, brother Bill Kelly and sisters Betty Bales, and Dorothy Smith. She is survived by her sister Bonnie Pulido (Tony) and brother Rev. Gus Chupe (Debra); her four children: Barbara Holt (Chipper), Diana Lynn Desoto (Simon) ,Sharen Berger (Bobby) and Robert Taylor (Vicki); 8 grandchildren: Billy Joe Holt , Leigh Taylor Ramirez, Natalie Friesenhahn , Paul Ryan Remlinger , Lindsey Torres, Jennifer Taylor Mallinson ; Brittany Taylor Willard and Robert Kyle Taylor. Joyce was also blessed with 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Palacios Funeral Home in Palacios, Texas followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.

Joyce loved the Lord, she loved her family and she loved her pets. In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Joyce can be made to a pet organization of your choice as well as to Faith Family Church, P O Box 229, Seguin Texas 78155.
