Joyce Schmoker, 67, of Van Vleck passed away May 1, 2010. She was born April 16, 1943 in Vernon, TX to H. O. and Mildred Lankston. She recently retired from Bay Villa Health Care Center in Bay City where she worked in the administration office.

Survivors include her mother Mildred Lankston of Arlington, TX; her companion Wayne Guynes of Blessing; daughters Brenda Logsdon & husband Guy of Vernon, TX and Lori Boydston & husband Danny of Wichita Falls, TX; sons Ricky Schmoker & wife Paula of Yukon, OK and David Schmoker of Bay City; brothers R. C. Lankston of Arlington, Cleatus Lankston of Centerville, TX and Kenneth Lankston of Mansfield, TX; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her son Steven Schmoker preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James Goodman, Aaron Goodman, Paul Goodman, William Guynes, Ernest Bovio, and Wayne "Catfish" Layfield. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
