Joyce Lorraine Koening - Born on April, 11, 1928 and the Lord called her Home on July 17, 2015.
She was loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Joyce was also a lifetime member of the VFW women's auxillary. She was a Christian woman and active member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She resided in Palacios, Texas for 60 years.
She is survived by her sister Jackie Sweetser of Kemah; son and daughter-in-law Mark and JoAnn Koening of San Antonio; daughter Cindy Koening of Santa Fe, Texas; stepdaughter and son-in-law Betty and Tom Lehman of San Antonio, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be at the Palacios Funeral Home on Wednesday, 7/22, between 5 - 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Palacios Funeral on Thursday, 7/23, at 10 a.m. Joyce will be laid to rest beside her husband Alvin at the Palacios Cemetery.
