Joyce Lorene Pahmiyer Dove, 88, of Bay City, went to be with the Lord on Dec 22, 2016. She was born Feb 2, 1928, in Cuero, TX to Albert and Bea Pahmiyer. Joyce attended Cuero High School and Baldwin Business College. She married Tommie L. Dove of Yoakum, TX at her parent's home in Cuero on December 20, 1949. Joyce was a devoted loving Christian woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was full of spunk when around family and friends, she was also known to have a stubborn streak, but laughter and being joyful were her gifts.

Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Tommie; parents Albert and Bea Pahmiyer; sister Kathryn Parker and her beloved dog CoCo. She is survived by her dog Walter; daughters Brenda Dove of Houston and Gaynell King (Bob) of Bay City; grandchildren Kevin King of San Marcos, Craig King of Austin and Kirstan Williams (Don) of Portland, OR; great grandchildren Sydney, Bella, Nolan, Eli and Evan Williams of Portland.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff and employees of Matagorda Nursing & Rehab Center for their love and support of Joyce, and Doctors Hanna and Lewis, and Houston Hospice for their care of our Mother.

Graveside services will be 2 PM December 27, 2016 at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero, TX with nephew Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joyce's name to Matagorda Nursing & Rehab Center, First Baptist Church of Bay City Music Ministry, Houston Hospice or any Pet Organization of your choice
