Joseph Wayne Mielsch, 21, of Bay City, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009. He was born February 21, 1988 in New Braunfels, TX to Albert Marvin Mielsch, Jr. and Sandra Kay Shaffer Mielsch. He was a resident of Matagorda County for the past 19 years and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing, TX.

He is survived by his mother: Sandra Thompson of Victoria; his sister: Jessica Ann Cook of Gulf Port, MS; his brothers: Nicholas Neal Shelton of Oklahoma City, OK, Albert Marvin "Trey" Mielsch III of Van Vleck and Zachery Alexander Mielsch of Bay City; by his girlfriend: Aurora Aparicio; his grandparents: Ida and Danny Sease; and his nephews and nieces: Brynn Shelton, Karsen Cook, Jeremy Mielsch, Jenna Mielsch Kyonia Cook and Jaymee Mielsch. He is preceded in death by his father: Albert Marvin Mielsch Jr.

The Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2009, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing with Rev, Dan Morales officiating. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Shelton, Trey Mielsch, Zack Mielsch, Danny Sease, Bobby Shaffer, Jeff Sliva, Michael Campos, and Mitchell Bludau. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nicholas Aparicio Sr., Nicholas Aparicio, Jr. Clemente Aparicio, Steven Arnold, Ray Cook, and Blaine Shaffer.
