Joseph Robert Gonzales, 29, of Bay City passed away August 23, 2009. He was born April 10, 1980 in Bay City to Jose Louis & Mary Esther Garcia Gonzales. He was a 1998 graduate of Bay City High School and worked at a roofing contractor.

His paternal grandparents Juan & Trinidad Gonzales preceded him in death. Survivors include his parents Jose & Mary Gonzales of Bay City; maternal grandparents Ruben & Christina Garcia of Bay City; sisters Leticia Acosta & husband Armando of Pflugerville and Teresa Gonzales of Austin; brother Gregory Gonzales of Bay City; God Child Isabella Acosta and many aunts, uncles & cousins. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to his close friend Dawn Lamb for her support and care.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Larry Villa, Armando Acosta, Stephen Pena, Jason Zamora, Mike Zamora and Pablo Martinez.
