Bro. Joseph "Joe" Wrape Sr., 67, of Flintstone GA passed away Wednesday April 16, 2008 in Bay City, TX. He was born June 11, 1940 in Summerville, GA to the late John Alfred Wrape and Annie Lee Pettyjohn Wrape. Brother Joe had lived in Flintstone, GA for the past nine months, before moving to GA he resided in Bay City for 17 years where he lead the congregation of the Nichols St. Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife: Helen Lenora Madaris Wrape of Flintstone GA; 4 daughters & sons-in-law: Camille & David Dodd of Eagleville TN, Crystal & Nolan Gibson of Rossville GA, Cindy & Andy Peters of Louise, TX, and Felicia & Eric Flores of Richmond TX; son: Joseph Earl Wrape Jr. & wife Andrea of Rowlett TX; 3 sisters: Nellie Godfrey of Summerville GA, Frances Parton of Chickamauga GA, and Faye Thomison of Chickamauga GA; brother: Parks Wrape of Rossville; and his grandchildren: Joshua Dodd, Jonathan Dodd, Ricky Mincy, Joy Peters, Laura Peters, Rebecca Peters, Trey Wrape, III and Jordyn Wrape. Brother Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Bill Wrape; and granddaughter: Emily Newman.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday April 19, 2008 at The Nichols St. Church of Christ with Bro. Joseph E. Wrape Jr. officiating.

Funeral services will also be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, 3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742. Interment will be at the Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, GA. Pallbearers will be David Dodd, Nolan Gibson, Andy Peters, Eric Flores, Joshua Dodd, Jonathan Dodd, Ricky Mincy and Trey Wrape, III.
