Reverend Joseph Trinh Duc Pham "Father Joe Pham", 64 of Palacios, TX passed away 5:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. He was born April 9, 1943 in Quang Ninh, Viet Nam. He was Ordained into the Catholic Priesthood on April 29, 1970 in Viet Nam and served as a Catholic Priest in Viet Nam and Port Isabel, TX. He came to Palacios, TX in 1976 to St. Anthony of Padua Vietnamese Apostolate Chapel, serving for the past 31 years as Parochial Vicar.

He is survived by his brothers: Mr. & Mrs. Pham Khac Nghia, their children and grandchildren of New Mexico, Australia, and Viet Nam; Mr. & Mrs. Pham Dinh Khoi, their children and grandchildren of Minnesota; Pham Ngoc Quynh, his wife and children of Viet Nam; and Pham Minh Chau, his wife and children of Viet Nam; his sister: Pham Thi Ngoc, her husband and children of Viet Nam; his cousins: Pham Duc Thanh, his wife and children of Palacios, TX; Pham Ngoc Son, his wife and children of Palacios, TX; Pham Thi Ngoc Hanh, her husband and children of Palacios, TX; by his aunts: wife of Pham Duc Khanh, Pham Thi Lan of Viet Nam, and Pham Thi Lien of Australia; and by his god sons and god daughters: The Rev. Toma Nguyen Van Thu of Grapevine, TX; The Rev. Giuse Nguyen Dung of Cancun, Mexico; Sister Teresa Hoang Thi Sen, Dominican Order of Viet Nam; Sister Maria Clara Nguyen Thi Xinh, Sister Agnes Nguyen Anh Dao, Sister Maria Teresa Nguyen Kim Hong, Sister Catarina Nguyen Kim Phuong, and Sister Maria Teresa Nguyen Thanh Nga, all of the Dominican Order of Houston, TX.

There will be services with Viewing, Rosary and Mass each evening, at the Vietnamese Apostolate Chapel in Palacios, TX, from 5 PM to 8 PM, Friday, October 19th through Tuesday, October 23rd.

A Viewing, Mass of Mourning and Eulogy, will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, October 24th; a Viewing, Rosary and Mass, will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM Thursday, October 25th; a Viewing and Mass of Family & Friends will be held Friday, October 26th at 3:30 PM and a Rosary, Mass of Farewell and Eulogy at 6:30 PM, at Vietnamese Apostolate Hall in Palacios, TX.

The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Vietnamese Apostolate Hall officiated by the Most Reverend David E. Fellhauer, Bishop of the Dioceses of Victoria in Texas. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery, Palacios, TX.
