Joseph D. Brady, 82, of Bay City passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011. He was born June 22, 1929 in Dallas, TX to Harry Byrd Brady, Sr. and Alberta Quillin Brady. He was a resident of Bay City since 1991, a veteran of the US Air Force, and was a retired Chief Steward and Safety Director of the I.B.E.W. Local 165 in Chicago, IL.

He is survived by his sons: Dennis Brady and wife Alberta of Chicago, IL and Terry Brady and wife Beth of Dallas, TX; by a sister-in-law: Theresa LeTulle Brady of Galveston, TX; by 4 grandchildren: Joshua Brady, Jason Brady, Jeremy Brady, and Aaron Brady; and by 1 great grandchild: Michael Brady. He was preceded in death by his parents; by a son: Kevin Brady; and by 2 brothers: Harry B. Brady Jr. and James C. Brady.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 2, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel, Avenue G and 5th St., Bay City, TX with Rev. Jeff Gantz officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City, TX with veteran honors under the auspices of Phillip H. Parker VFW Post 2438. Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.
