Jose F. Martinez, 73, of Bay City passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Jose was born on October 10, 1942 in Lyford, Texas to the late Felix and Manuela Rodriguez Martinez. Jose proudly served his country during the Vietnam era in the Army. Jose was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers since their time in Brooklyn, New York. Jose was a good husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Jose is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Lillian Martinez ; children, Cynthia Guerrera and husband Tony, Martin Martinez, Lilly Gonzalez and husband Joseph, Joseph Phillip Martinez and wife Maria, Michael Martinez and wife Herlinda; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
