Obituary
Jose Lara Garcia, 76, of Palacios passed away January 15, 2008 in Houston. He was born August 28, 1931 in Mexico to the Late Petra Garcia and Ramon Lara. Mr. Garcia was a long time resident of Palacios, and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
He is survived by wife: Maria Lara of Palacios; daughter: Rosa Lara of Palacios; 5 sons: Jose G. Lara and Joel Lara & wife Eugenia all of Freeport, Jorge Lara & wife Maria, Jesus Lara & wife Judy, and Ismael Lara all of Palacios; 2 sisters: Esperanza Salinas of Mexico and Yolanda Salinas of Pharr, TX; 13 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited 7:00 PM Thursday January 17, 2008 at Palacios Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday January 18, 2008 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Charles Dwomoh officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
