On the morning of February 25, 2016 Johanna "Johnnie" Rowton passed away at St. Catherine's Nursing Home in Waco, TX. She was 100 years of age. Johnnie was born in McLennan County, TX on March 8, 1915 to Martin and Emma Schiemenz. She moved to Palacios, TX in the early 1950's where she resided until 2008.

She is survived by her grand-children, Joe Blair Rowton and wife Jaime and Natalie Kaiser and husband Lou, great grand-child Beau Rowton, son-in-law Gerard Holloway, and Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Alva Milton Rowton, children Phyllis Holloway and John "Butch" Rowton, parents and siblings.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Palacios Cemetery in Palacios, TX with Rev. Kathy Vineyard officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mildred Jupe, Marguerite Henriksen and the staff at St. Catherine's Nursing Home in Waco, TX for their dedicated care of Johnnie in her last years.
