Johnnie Lee Harvey,78, of Palacios, passed away on Monday, Feb. 55, 2016. She was born Jan. 6, 1938 in Fannin, Tx to the late Willie and Ora Smith Arthur.

Johnnie loved reading and spending time with her family and friends. She really loved the family reunions.

Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Early Harvey; daughter Jackie Backus; sons Dennis Harvey, Jr., Leonard Harvey and James Harvey and numerous brother and sisters. She is survived by brother, Will D. Arthur and sister, Grace Tumlinson; daughters, Laura Claborn, Rose Williams and husband Rick, Wendy Spiegel and husband Bryan; sons Glen Harvey and Johnny Harvey; daughter-in-law Janet Harvey; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive visitors 5-8pm Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the funeral home. Services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at Palacios Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Williams. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
