John Franklin "F. J." "Bubba" Williams, 80, of Bay City passed away August 20, 2007. He was born December 30, 1926 in Bay City to the late Arter Preston and Jenny Pierce Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Bay City; foreman for CP&L for 40 years; a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife Laverne Williams of Bay City; daughter Christeen McKissick & husband Kevin of Bay City; son Rusty Williams of Bay City; grandchildren Jennifer Williams, Elizabeth Williams, Kourtney McKissick and Karissa McKissick. He was preceded in death by his late wife Jeanette Williams; son Craig Williams and twelve siblings.

Funeral service will be 2:30 PM Thursday, August 23, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Hobbs, Timmy Hobbs, Gary Ryman, William Ryman, John Woolsey and Thomas Orsak. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Andel, Kevin Sparks, Garrett Lenz, Richy Berberich, Pete Peterson and Charles Koenig. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
