John Wilson Vickrey

John Vickrey passed away on November 12, 2015 in Sugar Land, Texas. John was born on October 5, 1948 in Mc Kinney, Texas to the late Annie Jane McCollum Vickrey and William Fairchild Vickrey. John valued his family and his faith above all else. He coached and umpired with Bay City Girls Softball Association and Ft. Stockton Little League Association. He worked at Lyondell, was self-employed with Vickrey Refrigeration and Appliance, and volunteered with the Wadsworth Volunteer Fire Department. John lived an exceptional life and lived it to the fullest. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Lisa Boles Vickrey; children John Scott Vickrey and wife Dawn, William Todd Vickrey and wife Lisa, Jarrod Heath Vickrey, Marisa Vickrey Smith and husband Cody, and Beverly Christine Vickrey; grandchildren, Kellan Vickrey, Eric James Smith, and Kenzie Jane Smith; sisters Patricia Catlett and husband Jim, and Cynthia Lambert and husband Steve. John was preceded in death by his brother William Graham "Bill" Vickrey and his parents.
Services will be at 4:00P.M. Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
