John Snider, 82, of Palacios passed away November 21, 2021.  He was born October 3, 1939 in Palacios, TX to the late Harley F. Snider and Loy Faye Dobson Snider.

John Snider, a retired Navy Veteran, proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, RVN Campaign Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. He served abroad the USS Ranger, the USS Kitty Hawk, the USS Coral Sea and the USS Bon Homme Richard.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Glimp and Guy Glimp, cousin Richard Dobson, retired USN. Two nieces and three grand nieces and two grand nephews, special friends at Bayview Apartments in Palacios and other friends and relatives.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 3, 2021 at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas.
