John M. Magee, Sr., 79, of Bay City passed away on March 29, 2007. He was born April 3, 1927 in Kosse, Texas to Elbert Roy and Julia Adams Magee. He served in the US Air Force during WWII; was a member of the Bay City Lodge #865 Scottish Rite Arabia Shrine; and a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Margaret L. Magee of Bay City; son John Magee, Jr. & wife Cindy of Lake Jackson; daughter Judy K. Hilton & Husband Jack of Houston; four grandchildren Cory & Luke Magee of Lake Jackson and Chris & Brittany Hilton of Houston.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Members of John's Sunday School Class and Fred. E. Walker will be honorary pallbearers. The family will greet friends and relatives from 5pm to 7pm Friday at Taylor Bros.
