John William Graff, 81, of Palacios passed away April 12, 2009. He was born August 16, 1927 in Fresno, California to the late John & June Lockwood Graff. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, served in the US Navy during WWII and had been a Member of the Sweeny Masonic Lodge for 56 years.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie Graff of Palacios; daughter Carol Ann Burnett & son Robert of Goliad, TX; son Rick Graff & wife Keri of El Campo; and grandsons Robert John Burnett, James Dean Burnett, William Cade Graff & Matthew Payne Graff.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm to 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Palacios with Rev. June White officiating. Interment will follow at the Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dickie Kubecka, James Lingo, Ronnie White, Mickey White, Mike Davant & Lee Edward Pierce. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Palacios or the American Cancer Society.
