Joe Morales, Sr., 70, a Marine and Vietnam Veteran, was called to Heaven on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. He was born October 4, 1948 in Port O'Connor, TX to the late Remigio Sr. and Victoria Morales.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jesse Morales and Ray Morales, and sister Sara Barrios. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Teresa Esquivel Morales; sons Joe Morales, Jr. (Jackie), Carlos Morales (Tara) and Nicholas Esquivel; daughters Dora Rios and Carol Cortez (Herman); 10 grandchildren, two of which were raise like daughters (Angelica and Amber) and 5 great-grandchildren. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family and friends. Making great memories with everyone he met. Everyone who knew him called him "Morales" or "Pop". He will be greatly loved and missed.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00-7:00pm Monday, November 26 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The Rosary will at 6:00pm that evening. Services will be 10:00am Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Gabriel J. Mensah officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Esquivel, Johnny Moreno, Michael Morales, Rocky Galvan, Luis Zavala, Jr., Albert Morales, Ramiro Moreno and Auturo Morales.
