Joe Gamez, 67, of Bay City passed away August 23, 2007. He was born October 31, 1939 in Cuero, Texas to the late Francisco and Francisca Bocanegra Gamez. He was a former employee of the City of Bay City.

Survivors include daughter Mary Ramirez & husband Ernest of Bay City; son Ronald Gamez & wife Jennifer of Bay City; sisters & brothers-in-law Matilda & Mike Guajardo of Dayton, TX & Gloria & Joe DeLaRosa, Sr. of Bay City; brother & sister-in-law Frank & Irma Gamez of Van Vleck; and grandchildren Desiree & Darian Ramirez, Ronald Gamez, Jr. and Katilyn Gamez.

Prayer service will be 7:00 PM Monday, August 27, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Tommy Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Joe DeLaRosa, Jr., Frankie Gamez, Jr., Johnny Cervantes, Joe Perez III, Joe Gamez and Manuel Benevidas.
