Joe Bloomfield, 80, of Blessing, passed away Monday, November 21, 2005. He was born May 8, 1925 in Duncan, OK to John Luther Bloomfield and Malley Tadlock Bloomfield. He was a resident of Blessing for the past 28 years and was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 7th Calvary in the Pacific Theater.

He is survived by his daughters: Ira Mikki Thompson of Port Lavaca and Jeancie Thompson of Blessing; his sister: Annice Hill of Carlsbad, NM; his brothers: Jim Bloomfield of Sealy, Toby Bloomfield of Blessing, and Corky Bloomfield of Baytown; and by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jean Pointer Bloomfield; and by his parents, John L. & Malley Bloomfield.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX with Dr. Watson officiating. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, TX (979) 245-4613.
