Joe Delgado Acuna, 71, of Bay City passed away June 17, 2009. He was born May 17, 1938 in Cuero, TX to the late Manuel & Janie Delgado Acuna.

Survivors include his wife Clara Acuna of Bay City; daughters Clara Trevino & husband David, Rosemary Marin & husband Santiago, Sandy Acuna, Anna Acuna all of Bay City & Christina Perez & husband Joe of Markham; sons Joe Acuna, Jr. & wife Melissa of Victoria & Rudy Acuna of Bay City; 4 sisters Paula of El Campo, Sulema of Garwood, Maria of El Campo & Aldelfa of Markham; 4 brothers Alfredo Acuna & Benito Acuna both of El Campo, Jessie Acuna of Wichita Falls, TX & Rafeal Acuna of Danevang; and 10 grandchildren. Two brothers Manuel & Martin Acuna and a granddaughter Brenda Marie Marin preceded him in death.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 9:30 AM Monday, June 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Paul Acuna, Santiago Marin, Santiago Leal, Joe Perez, David Trevino, Martin Acuna, Tony Gonzales & Joseph Delgado.
