Joan Vincent McKenzie Milner, affectionately known as "Nanny" by her family, passed away peacefully March 19, 2018 at the age of 82. She was born May 05, 1935 to Myrtle Waldrop McKenzie and Ernest McKenzie in Bay City Texas.

Joan has lived in Onalaska, Texas with her sister Sharon Perdue for the past several years. Joan loved to be busy with all her different chores and was always humming some tune. Her many enjoyments in life were camping, fishing, traveling as long as it was not by sea or air, and taking care of her cats. She loved her plants and yard work and just being outside when the weather was beautiful. She was a great cook and loved baking. She loved her family and friends and was a caretaker with many talents. She was always complimented on her beautiful infectious smile.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; brother Ernest Ray McKenzie; daughter Beverly Ann Walker; son James Paul Clifton; infant grandchild Stacy Ann Walker; brother-in-law Roger Perdue.She is survived by her daughter Sharon Kay husband Roy Smith, son Billy Ray Clifton, sister Sharon Perdue, eight grandchildren Floyd wife Essie Vacek, Clinton wife Gretchen Walker, Christopher wife Heather Clifton, Michael wife Brooke Clifton,Taelor husband Micheal Fletcher, Tara Clifton, Joshua Clifton, Mark Clifton, 16 great-grandchildren, Ryan wife Caitlin Vacek, Ashley and Amy Vacek, Olivia, Nora, Peyton, Carter, Layna, and Hunter Clifton, Shelby and Bryce Sliva, Jenna Sellers, Jayce and Brayden Fletcher, Sydney and Clinton Jr. Walker, many beloved cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm March 23 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm March 24, 2018 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, 2313 Avenue I, Bay City, Texas, with Bishop Steve Crockett Eulogist, and LaVal Curtis Speaker. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers are John Jinks, Ryan Vacek, Christopher Clifton, Tony Sherrill, Joe McKenzie and Colton Pierce.
