Jimmye Gayle Srubar, 63, of Van Vleck went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. She was born on September 19, 1948 in Bay City to Jimmy & Laura Ferrell Bragg. Jimmye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She worked in the Bay City ISD as a teacher for 10 years.

Jimmye is survived by her loving husband of 34 years: Roger Srubar of Van Vleck; 2 daughters: Sybil McGlothlin and Rochelle Scott; 3 grandchildren: Darrell "D.J." Scott Jr., Raelyn Scott, and Miracle McGlothlin; 2 brothers: John & Barbara Miller and Bill Miller all of Bay City; uncle: Danny & Rita James of El Campo; aunt: Sissy Guynes of the Woodlands; and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather: Jodie James; sister: Jolynn James; and her grandparents.

Visitation will start at 1:00 PM Sunday January 29, 2012 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Victoria Office, 4401 Lilac Lane, Victoria, TX 77901.
