James Leo "Jimmy" Nohavitza, 54, of Bay City passed away January 31, 2015. He was born November 18, 1960 to the late Leo Nohavitza and Jean Nelsen Nohavitza.

Jimmy never met a stranger. He was out-going, a bit of a joker, and was always the first person to help someone in their time of need.

He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Judy Lee Nohavitza. Survivors include his wife Carol Cartee of Bay City and one nephew Eric James Turner of Katy.

A special thank you to caregiver Paula Brown for all the care she gave.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas with Doug Bray officiating. Pallbearers are Jimmy Brangan, Le Roy Lopez, Kenneth Bruce, Fred Van Wie, Kelly Bujnoch and Tyler Perez. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.
