Jimmie George Kilbride, 71, of Bay City, passed away July 18, 2016. He was born September 27, 1944 in Bay City, TX to George Perrenot Kilbride and Sylvia Grace Swinford Kilbride.

Jimmie proudly served his country in both the US Army and US Air Force. He worked for the US Postal Service for many years as a mail carrier.

Those who knew Jim, knew he never met a stranger and if he did it didn't take long to become a friend. He would put a smile on any face, he gave the biggest bear hugs ever and was the best Paw Paw his grandchildren could have asked for! He will be missed and remembered by all that knew him. We love you dad, Paw Paw, husband and friend.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Mona Kilbride. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Faye Burrow Kilbride; sons Robert Kilbride and wife Trina and Brian Kilbride and wife Cindy; daughter Laura Uriarte & husband Chris; sister Dixie Mattingly and grandchildren, Kameron, Kayden, Bailey, Mackenzie and Logan Kilbride.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00am until Noon on Friday, July 22 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00pm Friday, July 22, 2016 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Bay City. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City
