Jimmie Thornton Justice was called home to our Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2024.  Jimmie lived for 87 years and spent most of his adult life in Bay City, Texas.  Born November 25, 1936, to Thornton (Blackie) and Katherine Justice in Kenedy, Texas.  To all who knew him, Jimmie was a unique individual who touched the lives of all who knew him.

Jimmie was a graduate of Bay City High School and after graduation began his over 36-year career at Texas Highway Department (Currently named Texas Department of Transportation) as well as serving in the Air Force Reserve at Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio until 1963.  Jimmie married Dorothy Dawson in 1965 and together they raised two loving children (David Lynn and Jimmie Jr.).   In 1992, Jimmie retired, and Dorothy and Jimmie enjoyed traveling to Louisiana and Las Vegas while spending time with numerous friends at the casinos.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; son Jimmie T. Justice Jr; and sister, Sandra (Kay). Jimmie is survived by son, David Justice; and wife Stacie; grandson Aaron Justice and wife Sarah; granddaughter Amanda Pitts and Mark Pietka; step-granddaughter Hannah Britt; step-grandson Mason Britt, four great-grandsons' Lucas Justice, Braylon Pitts, Ben Justice and Samual (Sammy) Justice and her beloved dog, Tony 2nd.

Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Cedarvale Cemetery Pavilion in Bay City, Texas.
