Jim Wade Shiflett, 80, of Blessing, Texas passed away on October 16, 2016 of natural causes in his home in Blessing.

Jim was a fourth generation Texan born in Rabb, Texas to Leroy Shiflett and Orine Roberts Shiflett on October 30, 1935. He attended public school in Robstown, and graduated from Robstown High School in 1954. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, as well as by his six siblings.

Jim is survived by his children: Lanell Neff of Austin, TX; Janis (Jimmy) Ramey of Big Spring, TX; JW (Tracy) Shiflett of Floresville, TX; and stepdaughter Holly Tadych of Santa Fe, NM; as well as one granddaughter and four grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Robstown Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
