JEWEL WATSON
Jewel Watson, 88, of Brazoria, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006 in Lake Jackson. She was born January 5, 1918 in Nacogdoches to Levi Robert Henderson and Emma Summers Henderson. She was a resident of Brazoria County since 1946 and a member of the Gulf Coast Christian Center in West Columbia.

She is survived by her daughters: Jo Ann Roe & husband Jefferson and Susan Thacher & husband Wayne all of Brazoria; her son Henry Lee Thomas & wife Patricia of Brazoria. Her sister Mamie Ellis of Bay City; and by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Royal Watson; her son, Ira Daniel Thomas, her sisters: Jessie Thomas, Mattie Thomas, Myrtle Gray; her brothers: John Henderson, R.D. Henderson and Bennett Henderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the Gulf Coast Christian Center in West Columbia with Pastor Bob Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at the Columbia Cemetery in West Columbia. Pallbearers will be Truman Groom, Kenneth Groom, Jack Ellis, Gary Oltz, Buddy Barnett and Will Barnett.
