Jesus A. "Jesse" Jimenez, Jr., 77, of Palacios passed away June 14, 2025.  He was born May 4, 1948 in San Juan, Texas.

Jesus grew up working on his late father's farm, until he left to study seminary for a few years.  He then came to Texas and worked in welding and fire watch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Maria Orlanda Jimenez Montalvo, son Jesse Jimenez III and brothers Francisco Jimenez and Juan Antonio Jimenez. Survivors include daughters Eva M. Jimenez and Antonia Montalvo; son Orlando Jimenez; sisters Juanita Lucio, Maria Rosa Pena, Maria Teresa Jasso, Maria De Jesus Sanchez and Maria Eva Jimenez; brother Felipe De Jesus Jimenez; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM and Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery.
