Jessie Faye McKissick Falks, of Palacios passed away peacefully surrounded by her three children April 10, 2024. Jessie was born June 1, 1939, in Bay City, Texas to Thomas and Alma McKissick.  She graduated from Tidehaven High School where she was a twirler. After graduating from high school, Jessie married the love of her life, Jack Falks.  Jessie spent her early married life being a stay-at-home mom before starting a career in banking. She has always considered the Matagorda area home, after retirement she and Jack eventually returned to Palacios.  In 2017 she moved to Round Rock, Texas to live with her daughter Kay.

Once back in Palacios she enjoyed spending time with her mother and sister. Jessie loved to be outside staying active mowing grass and gardening, reading the newspaper and taking care of her cats.

Jessie was a kind person who was always calm and happy.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alma McKissick, her husband Jack Falks and brothers Gerald and Kenneth McKissick.  She is survived by her children Kay; Jack Jr. and wife Delisa; Rachel McDaniels and husband Michael, as well as grandchildren Kristyn Pittman (Casey) Thomas McDaniels (Caitlyn), Claudia Stadelmann (Kurt), great granddaughter Olivia and sister Susie Glasscock and husband Craig. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be Monday, April 15, 2024, 10:30a.m. at the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Texas with Chris Webber officiating.
