Jessie Lee Crosson, age 87, died peacefully on September 18, 2017 at Legacy Matagorda House, after a brief struggle with cancer. Jessie was born June 20, 1930 in Gould, OK. the daughter of Roy Lee and Lula Mae Keith.
Jessie graduated high school when there were only 11 grades, and graduated salutatorian. Jessie married the love of her life, Rev. Oliver Joe Crosson in 1947, and together they became ministers of the gospel. They pastored in Boling/Wharton, Dalhart, Graham, Brady, and McAllen. All Texas cities. This past August 4th Joe and Jessie were married 70 years. In those early years Jessie birthed two little boys. Then she became a pastor's wife and fell in love with Jesus and winning souls. She supported our Dad in his endeavor to preach the "Gospel". She stood firm, fast and unmoving in the United Pentecostal Church.
Jessie is survived by her husband Rev. O.J. Crosson, UPCI. Jessie is also survived by her sons: Danny Crosson and wife Ann, Kenneth Crosson and wife Donna. Two Grandsons: Joey Crosson and wife Deborah, Chad Crosson and wife Teresa. One Granddaughter: Starla Crosson; three great-grandchildren Lyndsey, Blaine, and Pinella Crosson. Jessie is also survived by 4 sisters: Jean Crosson and husband Lonnie, Wanda Frankum and husband Bobby, Neta Frankum and husband Norman, Dorothy Irwin and husband Gary; brother Bobby Keith and wife Sandra, and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, September 21st at Taylor Bros Funeral Home, 2313 Ave. I, Bay City, Texas. Funeral Services will be at 10am on Friday, September 22nd at Taylor Bros Funeral Home. A graveside committal will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Tx.
