Jerry Lynn Ware of Bay City, TX peacefully departed Thursday, September 11, 2008. Jerry was born September 13, 1941 in Bay City, Texas where he was a lifelong resident. He retired from the oil field in 2000. His true love was the art of woodworking and he left behind a legacy of beautiful pieces.

He is survived by his wife Juanita Ware; his twin brother Billy Ware and wife Pat of Van Vleck; his brother Larry Ware of Van Vleck; his son Michael Ware and wife Denise of Victoria; daughter Karen Scholten and husband Jay of Bay City; son Jerry Ware and wife Heather of Bay City; his daughter Laura Kurtz and husband Chuck of Jacksonville Beach, FL; his daughter Kay-Kay Young of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Mike, Corey, and Christopher Ware; Alex and Erin Ware; Hailey Mathis; Trey Young; Amy, Matthew and Hannah Kurtz; great grandchild Corey Ware, Jr.; and beloved pets Eli, Coco, and Junior.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Ruth Ware; sisters Melba Anderson, Jean Kirkland; and brother Eddie Ware.

In celebration of Jerry's life, a memorial service is being held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, TX (979) 245-4613.
