Jerry Desteiguer, 79 of Brazoria, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2005 in Lake Jackson. He was born October 16, 1926 in Mound Valley, KS to Rodger and Sarinda White Desteiguer. Formerly of Yoakum, he was a resident of Brazoria for the past 5 years, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brazoria, a former member of the Yoakum Lion's Club, and a World War II veteran of the US Army Air Corp.

He is survived by his wife: Ann Benedict Desteiguer of Brazoria; 2 daughters: Sharon Jackson & husband John of Kalamazoo, MI and Susan Desteiger of Traverse City, MI; by his sons: Stewart Desteiguer & wife Diane of Weatherford, TX, William Darnell & wife Esther of Friendswood, TX; his sisters: Jane Ward of Odessa, TX and Sue Davis of Muskogee, OK; a brother: Don Desteiguer of Braggs, OK, and by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Roger & Sarinda Desteiguer and by a son: Randy Desteiguer.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Cammeraon officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 7PM Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stewart Desteiguer, Joshua Desteiguer, William Darnell, Robert Beverly, Billy Phillips, and Edgar Floyd. Honorary pallbearers include J.G. Maliff, Clyde Newman, Kevin Norris, Michael Humphries and Bob Wakefield.
