Jerald P. Folmar, Sr., 71, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012. Jerald was born on June 29, 1941 in Wortham, Texas to the late Oscar and Verna Rouse Folmar. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Jerald was retired from Exxon after 25 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family especially his grandchildren. He loved spending time with his sons and nephews golfing or setting out lines.

He is survived by his sons; Jerald Paul Folmar, Jr. and Richard Jason Folmar; the mother of his sons, Linda Stansell King; his grandchildren, Ana and Sara Folmar, Richard Jason Folmar, Jr. and Derek Anthony Folmar; brother, James Larry Folmar & wife Suzie and numerous other family members.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Brother John McCord officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be: Jerry, Bill, Jimmy, Danny, Larry, & James Conley Farmer, Doug Ryman, and Eddie "Griz" Rather. Honorary Pallbearer will be Larry Duval.
