Jean Karen Nohavitza, 73, of Bay City died October 3, 2005 at the Katy Medical Center Hospital in Katy, TX. She was born September 6, 1932 in Ada, Kansas to the late Martin and Hazel Mauk Nelsen. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and was a resident of Bay City the past 50 years. In 1995 she retired from Matagorda General Hospital as a LVN with 27 years of service.
Survivors include: daughter: Judy Lee Nohavitza of Katy, TX; son & daughter-in-law: Jimmy & Carol Nohavitza of Bay City; sister: Arlene Bray of Orange, TX; and 1 grandson: Eric Nohavitza of Katy, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leo Nohavitza; and brother: Jack Nelsen.
Funeral Service will be 4:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2005, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kenneth Knight, Eric Nohavitza, Jimmy Brangan, Mike Svob, Natt Bustos, and Javier Deleza. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
