Javier "Big J" Garcia, 53, of Bay City, TX passed away February 13, 2021.  He was born May 16, 1967 in Bay City to Samuel Garcia and the late Josie Garcia.

He was a member of Rose of Sharon Church.

Javier was a spirited young man who inspired all around him.  He welcomed all from the neighborhood into his home and provided snacks after school for the children in his community.  He loved playing bingo, coloring, and fun arts and crafts.  He loved meeting new people and connecting with old friends.

Survivors include his father Samuel Garcia; Sister Rosemary Kinman; Brothers George Garcia, Roel Garcia, Raymond Garcia and the late Samuel Garcia III. along with their families.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Friday, February 19, 2021 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM with Janie Jo Lopez and Martin Huerta officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Ignacio Stone, Raymond Garcia, Jr., Willie Quiroga, Jr., Samuel Garcia IV, Eddy Quiroga, Jr. and Jeremy Quiroga.
