Janis Dian Stanford, 57, of Bay City, TX died September 7, 2005 at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. She was born August 15, 1948 in Atlanta, GA to the late Eugene Thomas & Annie Jo Terrell Stanford. Mrs. Stanford was a resident of Bay City the past 14 months and a former longtime resident of Roswell, GA.

Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law: Christie & Roger Dement of Van Vleck, TX; sisters: Billie Kilgore and Sandy McBryant both of NC; brothers: Eugene Stanford, Jr and James Stanford both of GA; 2 grandchildren: Lyndee Leigh Dement and Megan Marie "Meg" Dement both of Van Vleck, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 4:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck with Rev. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Clint Ballinger, Craig Kucera, Shannon Champion, Jeff Riddell, Mike Riddell, and Dwaine Dement.

In lieu of flowers, contributions or memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church of Van Vleck Building Fund or to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City (979) 245-4613.
