Janie P. Ocanas, 72, of Markham passed away June 30, 2011. She was born March 6, 1939 in Bay City to the late Rosalio Perez & Dolores Lozano Perez.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years Joe Ocanas, Jr. of Markham; daughters Nancy Ocanas Ortiz of Markham, Maribell Flores of Clute & Charisma Johnson of El Campo; sons Jerry Smith of Angleton & Rick Johnson of El Campo; sisters Mary Perez of Victoria, Modesta Davalos of Markham, Marcella Perez of Bay City Faustina Alaniz of West Lake, LA, Rose Guitterrez of Bay City, Mona Ordonez of Clute, Nat Garcia of Pasadena & Helen Mirelez of Bay City; brothers Pete Perez of Markham & George Perez of Freeport and grandson Christopher Trevino, Jr. of Markham.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2011 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Matt Davalos, Chris Davalos, Felix Perez, Rosindo Ocanas, Jose Ocanas, Sr., & Gilbert Lee Rodriguez.
